PGM W. P. Lamb, Grand Lodge of Texas Grand Master in 1979, passed on Friday afternoon, October 22, 2010. Grand Lodge Memorial Services will be conducted.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 27 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook, Baytown, Texas, telephone 281-422-8111.
A Representation of the Grand Lodge of Texas will be opened at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, October 28 at Cedar Bayou Lodge No. 321. Any Master Mason of Lodges recognized by the Grand Lodge are welcome to attend. All of the Grand Lodge Trustees will attend, the 2010 DDGMs are requested to attend (if possible) and several of the Past Grand Masters have stated that they will attend. All Grand Lodge Officers are requested to attend and wear your Grand Lodge Regalia. PGM Vernon Burke requests the name of the Grand Lodge Officers that will attend.
Funeral Services are set for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 28 at the Central Baptist Church, 1800 King Street, Baytown, telephone 281-422-8381.
Masonic Graveside Services will be conducted by PGM Vernon Burke following the Church services. Unless there is inclement weather, the Masonic services will be conducted at the Hill of Rest Cemetery, 1810 Market Street (across from Robert E. Lee High School) in Baytown. Funeral Director Chris Navarre suggested that in case of inclement weather that the family might consider holding the Masonic services in the church."

Vidor Lodge #1286 and Pine Forest Lodge #1420 is sponsoring the cornerstine leveling ceremony for the new City Hall in Vidor Texas.
Ceremony is scheduled for September 25, 2010 at 10:00 AM with RW PGM Thomas F. Griffin performing the ceremony. Brethren to assemble at Vidor Lodge at 9:00 AM to open the representation of Grand Lodge and then travel to the City Hall for the ceremony. Ceremony at the City Hall is open to the public and all are invited.

W. David Counts, Jr.
Grand Master
December 6, 2008 – December 5, 2009
The second of three children born to Walter David Counts and Alma Johnston Counts, W. David Counts, Jr. was born at Munday, in Knox County, Texas on July 14, 1936. David shared his childhood with older sister Patsy (Pat) and younger sister Cheryl, now Patsy Grimsley and Cheryl Robinson. His father died in 1983. His mother Alma at this writing remains active and continues to reside in Rule, Texas where David was raised.
