My father and mother were active in Masonry and Eastern Star (they were the charter WM and WP of their Chapter and my father was PM of my parent lodge and LONG-time Secretary) my whole life. I saw my father as an exceptionally good man and of course was interested in following his lead in Masonry. My GGrandfather was a charter member of my parent lodge (Laneville #795 in Laneville, Rusk County, TX) and I had several uncles and great uncles who were members of the Order. All were pillars of the community, as were my parents. Why WOULDN'T I want to join?
