Hardeman lodge 179 will be honoring a 70 Year award recipient on September 30, 2011. G J W Jerry Martin will prsent this service award to Brother Marvin England. A meal will be served at Noon with the ceremony to follow. We welcome all that wish to attend please do so.

All Lodge Secretaries should attend one of the Lodge Administration Schools in 2011 and bring the Lodge Line Officers and Treasurer with them. (Lodge administration takes more than one person). Two Forums and two schools have been completed. Four forums* (expanded curriculum with GS Staff assistance) remain and will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Four schools remain and will be from 9:00 AM to Noon, with Amarillo being from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. All schools are conducted on Saturdays.

Many parts of the world are experiencing horrendous weather patterns. None have suffered more than the countries of New Zealand and Japan. This appeal is being put out on behalf of both of those countries.
When remitting funds to the MSA, in response to this appeal, please mark clearly on your check how you wish the funds designated. If you do be assured the funds will be distributed exactly as the donor requests. If no designation is made the funds will be divided equally between New Zealand and Japan.
Please forward to the MSA such funds as you feel appropriate to help our devastated Brethren and their families in these stricken jurisdictions

Brethren,
The family of R: W: Arvol Willingham called and said that Brother Arvol passed at 2:00 p.m. today (Thanksgiving, November 25) in his home in Jewett, Texas. The family will meet with the funeral director tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
R: W: Arvol D. Willingham’s Funeral Service will be conducted by the Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home, 814 Main Street, Jewett, Texas.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 27, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Phone: 903-626-5458.
Tentatively, the Representation of the Grand Lodge of Texas will be opened at noon, Sunday, November 28 at the Jewett Masonic Lodge No. 427, 110 Broadway, Jewett, Texas 75846. The Lodge will be available by 11:00 a.m.
Church Services will be in the First Baptist Church, Jewett, Texas at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 28.
Following the Church services, the Grand Lodge Masonic Burial Services will at the Sardis Cemetery, FM 1512, Jewett, where Lou Ella is buried. PGM Graham Childress will conduct the ceremonies.
Arvol Deard Willingham was born February 16, 1916 and was raised a Master Mason in Jewett Lodge No. 427 on May 13, 1938. He served as the Grand Treasurer of the Grand Lodge of Texas from December 1994 until December 2003, and was recognized as Grand Treasurer Emeritus upon his retirement.

Brethren,
James D. Ward, Grand Secretary Emeritus, Grand Lodge of Texas, passed Sunday, November 21, 2010. Following yesterday's Dallas football game, Jim was raking leaves in his backyard and Joanie found him dead with an apparent heart attack.
Family Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 23, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Wilkerson-Hatch Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco. Telephone 254-753-3651.
At 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 24, a Representation of the Grand Lodge of Texas will be opened at Waco Lodge No. 92, 4324 Cobbs Drive, Waco, 76710. The Methodist Church is about six blocks to the west.
Church Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 24, at the first United Methodist Church, 4901 Cobbs Drive, Waco. Telephone 254-772-5630.
At 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 24, Grand Lodge Masonic Graveside Services will be conducted in the Moore's Arlington Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington, Texas 76012. PGM Mike Gower will conduct these Grand Lodge Services.
The Grand Lodge Representation will be closed at Arlington Lodge No. 438, 1415 W. Abram, Arlington, 76013 following the graveside services.

Brother Tom B. Johnson of Houston is the author and sponsor of a very special program permitting Texas Masons to select seats in the Grand Lodge Auditorium in Waco to memorialize those whom they wish to recognize. The program was explained and seat layouts and an order form were printed in The Texas Mason, Vol. 6, No. 2, Spring 97- Order forms are always available by writing to P.O. Box 446, Waco, Texas.
