Resolutions:
Resolution No. 1 – Adopted. Adds “The Operatives” to Article 225.
Resolution No. 2 – Adopted. Adds “Freemasons Riding Club” to Article 225a.
Resolution No. 3 – Not Adopted.
Resolution No. 4 – Adopted. Changed Isom Lodge name to Unity Masonic Lodge No. 1242.
Resolution No. 5 – Adopted. Requires By-Laws to be at Grand Lodge by September 1.
Resolution No. 6 – Not Adopted.
Resolution No. 7 – Adopted, As Amended. This Constitution change must be held over until the 2008 ballot.
Resolution No. 8 – Withdrawn.
Resolution No. 9 – Adopted, as Amended. Permits cypher/code books to be used in accordance with revised Article 505.20.
Resolution No. 10 – Adopted. Assigns North Houston Morning Lodge No. 1360 to Masonic District 28.
Resolution No. 11 – Adopted. Assigns Portland Lodge No. 1411 to Masonic District No. 37-B.
Resolution No. 12 – Adopted. Assigns Charity Lodge No. 565 to Masonic District No. 113.
Resolution No. 13 – Not Adopted.
Resolution No. 14 – Adopted. Permits Masons to wear aprons as pallbearers when non-Masons are pallbearers.
Resolution No. 15 – Not Adopted.
Resolution No. 16 – Withdrawn.
Resolution No. 17 – Adopted, As Amended. Creates Texas History Committee as a permanent Grand Lodge Committee.
GM Recommendations:-
GM Recommendation No. 1 – Adopted, As Amended. Provides the Worshipful Master the option to do Lodge business in an Entered Apprentice or Fellowcraft Lodge but only Master Masons may vote. Amends Articles 331, 332, 234, and 292.
GM Recommendation No. 2 – Adopted, As Amended. Revises Article 318a to permit Grand Lodge Trustees more flexibility in investing and caring for the Grand Lodge Membership Endowment Fund.
Note: With the exception of Resolution No. 7, these adopted Resolutions and Recommendations became Masonic Law when the Grand Lodge was closed, Saturday, December 8. See Article 177. Because it is a Constitutional change, Resolution 7 must lay over until the 2008 Grand Annual Communication, and upon a favorable ballot will become law March 1, 2009. See Article 107 and Constitution Article XIII, Section 5.
